Today, July 29th marks 8 years since T-ara plagued the nation's children and destroyed their innocence with their bullying antics. Being a group with one of the more solid discographies amongst others in K-pop T-ara now rule China with their releases. So to celebrate 8 years since their debut I decided to make a small list of their 8 best singles in 8 years, this took a lot of deliberation as they really do have so many good songs, I really have missed out so many great songs, if only T-ara was 18 years in instead so I could fit them all in, but I finally made up my mind (kind of), so here it is… Continue reading “T-ARA’s 8 Best Singles In 8 Years”
I'm not actually going fishing, I'm just going to Wales for 5 days and unfortunately for me there's usually no internet (or signal for that matter) at all, so I won't be able to respond to any comments during this time but I do have 3 posts scheduled so you probably won't even notice my absence, I mean I could've just went and came back and no one would've even noticed but my brain compartment of oversharing decided that this post was totally necessary and that's that.
See you on the 3rd!
We’re on week 7, after the creation of this blog in its entirety this weekly segment is the second longest thing I have managed to keep maintain, so a catch-up on releases I missed in previous weeks is in order.

Recently I’ve been finding it very difficult to sleep at night, mainly because of the lingering thought that every noise that happens is definitely not just one of my family members just living their lives to the fullest but a crazed axe murderer out for blood and valuable items. This has always been a paranoid thought of mine which has plagued my sleeping hours for a many years now but recently it has escalated, and rather dramatically too, to the point where I get so scared that I lay awake until around 04:00 when the sun rises (I’m so glad it’s summer) keeping my fairy lights on in the meantime, which I had previously been abstaining from in case I ran out the battery (I must have known), staring wide-eyed at every creek and tap that echoed throughout my house and hallucinating that all the silhouettes of my personal belongings are actually unprosecuted serial killers not satisfied with getting away with his first lot of victims so he came to slice and dice me to add to his murder resume. So to try and settle my to urge to write a will at 3 am I decided to make a playlist to distract my mind from wondering who would turn up to my funeral, and I thought why not share it in case there are some other paranoid insomniacs frantically searching the web for some kind of sleep relief. I decided to use songs that didn’t have vocal tracks as I thought that might distract me from actually trying to sleep and make me sub consciously just press skip. I will also be including a Spotify playlist (because I just learnt how to embed them) at the bottom of this page, or just click HERE if you’re too lazy to scroll that far.

Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to listen to too many songs this week, but fortunately, there didn’t seem to be too many songs (in kpop terms) that were released, so here are the few that I did manage to listen to. As I said previously in my May Favourites post I had been obsessively listening to Suzy’s Yes No Maybe, but it was for good reason, to write an ‘analysis’ (used loosely) on the music video as I used it as research for my college work, which was based entirely on colour for context, and God knows I need content for this blog so here it is, as promised. Please note, everything I say here is pure crap, don’t take note on anything I say. I have no idea what I’m talking about and I’m lying through my teeth, I’m not trying to sound bigheaded or that I know everything because I really don’t I just know some fancy camera words because that’s what I’ve been doing (for better or for worse) for the past 3 years. It really is all lies. But now my work has been marked and I won’t get arrested by UAL for plagiarising my own research here it is. (This has been directly copied from a word document and having to reinsert the pictures was an actual living hell please even if you don’t even read any of this just look at the pictures, maybe click on them a bit, it’s all I ask.). The time of the week where I either majorly digress or half assidly review songs has reared it’s ugly head! I didn’t review many this week as the title implies, I didn’t really care that much. But I also didn’t have time as I was surprisingly busy this week, subsequently causing me to be unintentionally abstaining from listening to music, so I haven’t been able to keep up with the millions of releases that were thrown at us this week (this is also the reason why this is going to be uploaded slightly late too, sorry!). Lee Hyori had her highly anticipated comeback with the song Black and the Music Video seemed to hold some deeper, hidden, cryptic messages, so I decided to expose and debunk this story so you don’t have to. I actually intended on birthing this series with Taeyeon’s Fine MV but it never saw the light. So round two commenced with Hyuna and the Hyunantors’ 365 So Fresh MV but it fell to a similar fate. Let hope this post gets to taste the fresh WordPress air. Continue reading “The Story Behind: Lee Hyori’s Black”
